We started as small business owners more than 20 years ago with several Rende’s gas stations in Baton Rouge and Gonzales.
After one of our Gonzales area convenience stores was severely damaged by Hurricane Gustav, we remodeled with travertine imported from Turkey. It was because we received such positive feedback from our customers that we opened Travertine by Rende. We specialize in importing travertine tile, travertine and marble slabs, and other specialty stone products from Turkey.
In a little more than two years of operating, our store has become the largest carrier of travertine — including bestselling sinks and stone columns — in the state of Louisiana. Our goal is to be a one-stop shop, catering to both individuals and contractors. We’re available for idea consultations, installation and delivery.
Our customers can purchase travertine in individual pieces or by the crate. Inventory is on-site, so for standard orders there is zero wait time.
We have six children, so we understand having a tight budget and working with a busy schedule. The excellent customer service we provide keeps our business growing with repeat customers and referrals. Our import business allows us to cut out the middle man and offer competitive prices.
